Our founding father Mr. Anthony P. Behan founded the firm in the early 1950s with Anthony P. Behan & Co. practicing from offices situated in Dame Street in the centre of Dublin City.
In the 1970s Anthony P. Behan & Co. practiced at offices situated at Arran Quay, close to the Four Courts. The firm of Anthony P. Behan & Co. subsequently merged and for a decade between 1980 and 1990 the firm practiced as Behan Fitzpatrick from offices in Exchange Street close to Temple Bar in Central Dublin. The current managing partner of the firm, Noel Guiden, joined Behan Fitzpatrick in 1981.
In 1990 the firm became Behan & Associates. The managing partner was Paul M. Behan and both Paul and Noel were joined in 1990 by another of our current partners John Sludds. Behan & Associates practiced from office premises situated at Merchants Quay, by coincidence the current location of the office of the Taxing Masters, opposite the Four Courts. In 2001 Behan & Associates Legal Costs Consultants Limited, a limited liability company was incorporated under the Companies Act and relocated to offices at Blanchardstown Corporate Park, Dublin 15, a modern, purpose built office premises situated in the high technology area of West Dublin. These premises are also the company's Registered Office.
The firm currently has five directors: Noel Guiden, John Sludds, Paul Conlon, Aidan O’Connor and Shane Galligan.
